"Winter Solace" I started this painting way back in 1982, forever ago, and just now found it and decided it had waited long enough to be finished. When I started it I was going through a very "blue" period in my life and sadly I am again going through one of those times. It speaks to that place we, I, go when we feel alone, or lost. I grew up loving the forest, loving groves of trees and have found myself retreating to them whenever I need to feel like I'm not just floating around in this universe alone. When I'm needing to connect with Mother Earth I go there to talk to her, to cry or just to sit. I always feel a bit better when I leave. Tree's speak to me and give me comfort. A little about the Artist : Jackie is an award winning artist with collectors worldwide. Her art has been featured on the covers of international magazines, used as city and company logos, displayed in galleries. She has three murals featured at The Texas Children's Hospital in Houston, TX. They welcome the children on three different floors. She is known for her Bright, Bold, Emotion Filled Art. Her art is always very colorful, which reflects her love of life, people, children and animals. Jackie paints mostly for fun these days and is from Alpine, UT. Start collecting her wonderful art now.
